Asmibe places a commemorative ribbon on the balcony of the City Hall on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities
Next Sunday, December 3, the International Day of People with Disabilities is celebrated and, for that reason, the Asmibe Association of Benidorm is carrying out a series of commemorative events these days. Thus, today the placing of a banner with a commemorative ribbon on the balcony of the City Hall took place.
Members of the association attended this event, held at noon, accompanied by the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, the councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, and members of the municipal corporation.
The activities on the occasion of this International Day began last Friday with the dramatized performance of 'Niebla' by Miguel de Unamuno at José Llorca Linares Social Center and yesterday, Monday, with the talk 'Wings for Independent Living', by the psychologist Carlos García, also in Llorca Linares.
The events will continue tomorrow, Wednesday, with the 'inclusive paralympics' in which the students of the workshops and the users of Pepa Esperanza center associations who wish to participate.
On Saturday, a charity meal will be held at 2 p.m. in Teulada. On Sunday, International Day of People with Disabilities will begin at 10 in the morning with the XXII Winter Craft Market between Martínez Alejos and Gambo streets, in which associations and centers for people with functional diversity in the province participate. At noon the protest manifesto will be read.
The events end on Tuesday with an awareness day at the IES Marcos Zaragoza in La Vila Joiosa aimed at 1st-year ESO students who will experience the difficulties encountered by people who use wheelchairs or are deprived of vision.
