Benidorm condemns the latest crime for gender violence in Arganda del Rey
The municipal corporation of Benidorm with the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll, at the head; municipal workers and neighbors have met this afternoon at the gates of the City to keep a minute of silence in a sign of condemnation of the latest sex crime registered in Spain: the murder of a 67-year-old woman in Arganda del Rey (Madrid). With it, there are 41 women murdered by their partners or former partners so far this year in our country, and 967 since 2003.
The husband of the victim confessed the crime last Friday, hours after the body of a woman was located in the swamp of El Arenoso, in the province of Córdoba. Apparently, the man would have killed his partner on October 12. After ending his life, the now arrested drove for hours and disposed of the body more than 350 kilometers from the family home.
