Benidorm finaliza la instalación de dos nuevas tirolinas en el Moralet e incorporará otra área de calistenia

Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Parks and Gardens, has completed the installation of two new zip lines in El Moralet urban park, which are added to those already existing in the area for the leisure offer for the youngest.

The work to install these two zip lines began at the beginning of the year, in what has become the fourth leisure area of the park, in a place between Avenida del Alcalde Vicente Pérez Devesa and the Xixo ravine. In addition, another action will soon begin in that area to install callisthenics equipment, a speciality in high demand by the city's young people.

Mayor Toni Pérez has today checked the installation of the new leisure elements in El Moralet, accompanied by the Councillor for Parks and Gardens, José Ramón González de Zárate. “With this action, we have tried to make the area even more pleasant and comfortable, if possible, and thanks to it many more people will enjoy this great forest park in Benidorm, El Moralet,” said Toni Pérez.

The work consisted of installing two 30-metre-long zip lines, picnic tables, elements to provide shade on the hottest days and also a three-dimensional net in the form of a pyramid and gravel-type shock-absorbing pavement.

The mayor has certified the “good reception” that these leisure points are having among users and has reiterated that this is the final objective of the action, “citizens enjoy the great green lung of Benidorm by carrying out sporting and healthy activities in an exceptional natural environment such as El Moralet”.

With these two new zip lines, there are now ten throughout the municipal area, and they are close to Benidorm so that children from all neighbourhoods can enjoy them. There are zip lines in Rincón de Loix, Moralet, Avenida del Municipi, Parque de Elche, Poniente, La Cala and Vía Parque.

Likewise, with the new callisthenics area, the city will have five zones close to all the neighbourhoods such as Poniente, Moralet and Rincón de Loix.
