Benidorm collects in Valencia the blue flag for its three beaches
The Beaches Councilor, Mónica Gómez, has collected today the blue flag that one more year will wave on the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas, with which the Environmental Education Foundation recognizes the quality of the three sandy areas and the services that offer. The award ceremony in which the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, participated, was held at l’Oceanogràfic in Valencia.
After the event, Gómez recalled that "this quality mark, probably the most recognized and identified by the population, is a guarantee for users that our beaches comply with the most rigorous conditions and quality standards with regard to waters, information, security, environmental education, services and facilities ”.
The councillor has indicated that this recognition "is the result of the continuous effort of the concession companies and the City Council technicians to try to follow the path undertaken many years ago and never lower the quality and services of our beaches", which in addition to the blue flag "year after year they are endorsed with the obtaining of other quality badges delivered by different organizations and that meticulously measure everything that our sandbanks offer, the environmental management that we do of them and the attention that is provided to users".
Gómez has stressed that "to these quality indices we have also added health security since last summer", since "through our 'Safe Beaches' system, all the people who enjoy our sandbanks have the guarantee that they will to be able to enjoy a safe day at the beach, in which safety distances and all health guidelines are respected without losing an iota of comfort ”.
In the coming days, the new blue flags will be placed on Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas beaches.
