Engineering reports conclude that these facilities and the neighborhood center do not meet the regulatory requirements
Benidorm closes the administrative extension of Limones by technical indications
The City Council of Benidorm will proceed to the closure of the administrative extension and neighborhood center of Limones Street at the request of the municipal technicians, who have verified that both facilities, put into operation in 2010, do not meet the regulatory requirements to provide service.
Thus, a recent report from the area of Engineering indicates that the space for administrative extension, located in the semi-basement of the premises, "has limited natural lighting and insufficient ventilation to guarantee the levels required by the Regulation of Thermal Installations in Buildings ( RITE) ".
With regard to the neighborhood center located on the first floor, it has a ceiling height lower than that required in the Regulation that develops the Law on Public Spectacles, Recreational Activities and Public Establishments.
In view of this report, the local government has informed the Board of Spokesmen that instructions have been given so that, as soon as possible, the premises are closed and vacated. During the meeting, it was explained that the initial idea was to keep the administrative extension open and proceed only to the closure of the first floor where the neighborhood center is located. However, this option has had to be discarded since the only toilets in the premises, which service the administrative extension, are located in the aforementioned first floor.
The same Board of Spokespersons has reported the debt that the Consistory has with the lessee of this location, and has addressed how to proceed with the payment and how to terminate the rental agreement that is in effect until mid 2018.
