Benidorm City Council will be lit up in green colour to commemorate Andalusia Day
On the occasion of the celebration of Andalusia Day this next Sunday, February 28, Benidorm City Council will lbe it up in green, a color that, together with white, make up the flag of this region. This action responds to a proposal to the City Council, through the Department of Fiestas, of the Cultural Federation of Andalusia in the South of the Valencian Community (FECUAS), in which the Andalusian House of Benidorm is integrated.
7,387 people from Andalusia are registered in Benidorm. This community, which represents 10.37% of the city's population, according to the latest edition of ‘Benidorm in Figures’ of 2020, is, after the Valencian, the largest.
The culture of the Andalusian community is very present in the daily life of the city thanks to the fervent activity of Casa de Andalucía (now it is low due to the health crisis caused by Covid-19), or traditional celebrations such as those that proposes the Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora del Rocío de Benidorm.
