The departments of Fiestas and Culture, have scheduled several activities for the festivity of 9th October, Day of Valencia, in close cooperation with the Committee of the Major Patron Saint Festivities of Benidorm 2016. From tomorrow until Sunday, 9th, a traditional market in Martínez Alejos and Gambo streets are going to be held. At night, at 21 pm, tomorrow, Friday is scheduled the musical "Festa Major" in Gambo street. On Saturday, October 8, students from Ausiàs March school will offer the play "The Conquesta de València a l'any 1238", the play will start at 18.30.
On Sunday, Day of Valencia, an institutional plenary session that will begin at 11 am in the Plaza del Castillo will be held, and where the Cultural Distinction of Ciudad de Benidorm is imposed to the teacher, Francisco Amillo Alegre, in recognition of his career as a researcher of various aspects of the past and present of Benidorm. In the afternoon, at 19 hours, the Musical Union of Benidorm will give a concert in Gambo street.
