Benidorm celebrates International Women's Day
Benidorm City Copuncil has commemorated one more year the International Women's Day, with different activities that have been developed in recent days organized by the Department of Equality that runs Paquita Ripoll. On March 8, on the occasion of the anniversary, a banner with the purple ribbon, a sign of the struggle for equality, has been displayed on the balcony of the City Hall. The mayor, Toni Pérez, participated in the deployment of this banner; the councilor of the area, Paquita Ripoll; and representatives of the different municipal groups.
Then, Ripoll and more members of the corporation have joined the several hundred citizens who have focused on the SSMM Kings of Spain to claim equality between men and women.
Continuing with the events scheduled during the week, this afternoon from 20.00 Mascarat Theater will represent the play 'In the other room' in the Hall of the City Hall. Lastly, tomorrow it will be the XVIII Meeting of Women of Marina Baixa in the neighboring town of Finestrat.
