The program includes the transfer of the image, a flower offering, and a solemn mass in the church of Sant Jaume and Santa Anna
The city of Benidorm celebrates the feast of Saint Anne this Sunday with various activities organised by the festival committee that bears her name. Most of the events will take place around the Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna. As announced by the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, the festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Casa del Fester (Festival House), from where a procession will depart to carry the image of the saint to the Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna.
Once there, a flower offering will be made, followed by a solemn mass attended by authorities, festival representatives, and Benidorm residents who are devoted to the mother of the Virgin Mary and wish to join in the celebration.
The Councillor for Festivals has invited the public to “participate in these events” and congratulated the Santa Anna Festival Committee for “organising these celebrations once again this year, which we have celebrated annually since the committee was founded in 2016 to commemorate the former patron saint of Benidorm.”
The Councillor also reminded everyone that the events organised for the feast of Sant Jaume, the patron saint of Benidorm, begin this Friday, with the main celebration taking place tomorrow, Saturday, featuring a full programme of events organised by the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals (Commission for Major Patron Saint Festivals), in collaboration with the Department of Fiestas.
