The work will improve the accessibility and aesthetics of the road
Benidorm begins the implementation of the rainwater network and the single platform on Buen Pastor street
Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Public Space, has begun work to implement the rainwater collection network and the subsequent conversion of the road into a single platform to improve accessibility on Buen Pastor Street.
Specifically, the works are being carried out in the section from Tomás Ortuño to Maravall Street. José Ramón González de Zárate, Councilor for Urban Scene and Mobility pointed out that "this street did not have a rainwater outlet and, therefore, the water remained stagnant."
Once the new network is installed, work will begin to implement the single platform "so that the street is 100% accessible." As in other similar roads, the councilor has indicated, "There will be a pedestrian priority and residents with fords will be allowed access with vehicles."
González de Zárate stressed that this is "a necessary work that will avoid many inconveniences in the future and we take the opportunity to give it the same aesthetic as in other streets in this neighborhood with an obvious improvement in mobility and accessibility for people."
