An influx of more than 500 people is expected, which will exceed the participation of the latest editions

Asmibe celebrates tomorrow at Guillermo Amor Sports City the XXIII Adapted Sports Games with more than 250 participants

Asmibe celebra mañana en la Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor los XXIII Juegos Deportivos Adaptados con más de 250 participantes

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 18, the Asmibe association will celebrate the XXIII edition of the Adapted Sports Games that will be played on the artificial turf soccer field of the Guillermo Amor Sports City. The games will begin at 10:30 in the morning with the reception of the participating centers. Half an hour later the games will begin and around 12:30 pm the trophies and medals will be handed out to all the participants.

It is a recreational-sports day in which schools, special education centers, occupational centers, and residences from Benidorm, the region, and the province participate. For this year's edition, the presence of 18 centers has been confirmed, of which seven are from Benidorm (CEIP Serra Gelada, Tapis, Doble Amor, CEEM Benidorm, CRIS Benidorm, Vivienda Tutelada Integrament and Asmibe).

This means that around 250 people with functional diversity will take part, to which 50 students of Compulsory Secondary Education will be added, to total an influx of more than 500 people if monitors, companions, and collaborators are also included, with which they will overcome the participation figures of the last editions. The fact that several centers will attend for the first time stands out.

The Adapted Sports Games are inclusive games with numerous tests such as assisted running, speed, long jump, shot put, petanque, psychomotor circuit, shooting at goal,  basketball, tennis, minigolf, parachute, bowling, or skill games among others.

All the tests will be organized by the TAFAD of the Lope de Vega School, with about 30 students who will help and encourage the participants. There is also the collaboration of fifty TAPS and TIS 1st year students from the L'Arabí Institute in Alfaz del Pi.

After the delivery of medals and trophies, a fellowship meal will be offered to the participants, monitors, and collaborators.
