Benidorm begins the drafting of the Municipal Plan for Inclusion and Social Cohesion
Benidorm City Council has begun the drafting of the Municipal Plan for Inclusion and Social Cohesion, within the autonomous plan of the same name, which will include a series of strategic lines to be promoted and implemented by the local administration to fight against poverty and exclusion.
The Councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, explained that the drafting of this document "began last September with the collection and analysis of demographic, economic and social data that allow us to know the statistical reality of our city, to later to complete that information with which the different social agents contribute us and with a process of citizen participation that is going to be enabled ".
Llorca detailed that "next week we have four meetings with municipal technicians, political groups of the corporation, associations and entities related to social care such as Cruz Roja and Cáritas, and also those organizations that represent specific groups such as the Association. of Relatives of Patients with Alzheimer's Disease (AFA) ". In total, 42 participants have been invited.
In addition, in the coming weeks an online questionnaire will be enabled for citizens to present their views on the subject and make the contributions they consider.
The Councilor for Social Welfare announced that "the Municipal Plan of Inclusion and Social Cohesion - subsidized by the Ministry - will be ready in December," moment from which "will create a specific Municipal Council that will be responsible for proposing the actions to apply based on the strategic lines included in the document ".
