Benidorm announces the XIII Enterprising Ideas Contest, with 5,000 euros in prize
Obra Social La Caixa, Jovempa, Memba and the CEEI of Elche cooperate in this iniatiative of the Employment and Local Development Agency
The department of Employment, Promotion and Local Development of Benidorm has convened the XIII Contest of Enterpresing Ideas; an initiative that seeks to "promote self-employment, facilitate the employment of young people and be an impetus for the creation of companies", as explained by the councilor of the area, Mª Jesus Pinto.
Pinto has presented this new call accompanied by representatives of the different entities that collaborate in this Contest in addition to the Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies (Invattur). Thus, along with the mayor have participated in this presentation Francesc Pérez, representing the Social Work La Caixa, Joaquín Alcázar, from the European Center for Innovative Enterprises (CEEI) in Elche; The president of Jovempa Marina Baixa, Guillermo Campos; And Diamantina Centeno, from Memba.
The mayor said that the ideas presented to the contest should be "viable and generate employment in Benidorm", and added that with this contest from the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) "promotes entrepreneurial culture and Diversification of the business fabric ". In addition, he has expressed his satisfaction at the fact that ideas that have been imposed in previous editions are currently "projects that are underway".
As for the prizes of this XIII Contest, the entrepreneur who provides the best idea will receive 2,500 euros, an iPad, and the discharge as an associate to Jovempa for a year; While the second classified will get 1,500 euros and an iPad Mini. In addition, in this edition have been established two accésit, endowed with 500 euros each, for projects that highlight the aspects of Benidorm's tourism promotion and social responsibility; And the Invattur offers the possibility to the winning ideas of incorporating to its Nursery of Companies.
The head of La Caixa stressed that the Entrepreneurial Ideas Contest houses one of the main objectives of Obra Social, such as employment, and pointed out that "apart from participation in the awards" the entity has "a line Of social microcredits to be able to finance the winning projects ". On the other hand, and in addition to highlighting the "collaborative" character of this contest, the delegate of the CEEI of Elche has emphasized that this "affects a fundamental motivating aspect in the process of creating a company."
The president of Jovempa Marina Baixa thanked the Ayuntamiento for having attended to his proposal so that the three finalist ideas "may have the opportunity to present and sell their idea", which will allow the jury "to know in more depth these entrepreneurs and their project ". From Memba, who collaborates in the jury and in the dissemination of the contest, Centeno has valued the importance of young entrepreneurs receiving help from public and private institutions to "put their ideas into practice".
