Benidorm allocates 8,000 euros for Beniardà festivities
This afternoon the renewal of the collaboration agreement between the town halls of Benidorm and Beniardà was signed, which, on the occasion of the celebration of the patron saint festivities in honor of the Mare de Déu dels Dolors, will be held between August 4 and 10.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, together with the first mayor of Beniarda, Rafaela Llorens, have stamped their signatures today on the document in an act that was also attended by the party councillor, Mariló Cebreros.
This agreement recognizes the solidarity of Beniardà during the serious drought of 1978 that allowed prospecting to be carried out in its municipal area to find the water resources that Benidorm needed. A gesture that made it possible to guarantee the supply of the population and tourism in times of greatest scarcity.
For this reason, as a sign of gratitude, Benidorm City Council allocates a small part of its Budget to carrying out acts and activities framed within the Beniardà Patron Saint Festivities which, on this occasion, will amount to 8,000 euros, an amount that will be paid before the start of the festivities.
