Benidorm advances and extends the deadline for requesting grants for the purchase of school material for the 2nd cycle of Infant Education

Benidorm adelanta y amplía el plazo para pedir las ayudas para la compra de material escolar de 2º ciclo de Infantil

The department of Education has advanced the opening of the deadline to apply for grants for the purchase of books and school materials for the 2nd cycle of Infant Education for the year 2018/2019. Specifically, families of students born in 2013 and 2014, and that the next course will be 4 and 5 years, may request these grants from next Monday, March 12, until July 16. In this way, the application period is considerably extended.

With regard to those born in 2015, and therefore starting in September, they will take 3-year-old children, families will be able to apply for grants once the student is admitted to the school and before July 16.

The mayor and head of the area of ​​Education, Toni Perez, explained that "by setting two deadlines, advancing one of them to this March, we get the applications are formalized and presented in a phased manner, greatly facilitating the work to the department , while we give families the possibility of anticipating this process and later only have to focus on the enrollment of their children. "

Pérez indicated that, like this course, the maximum amount of individual grant will be 61 euros per student, and it will be able to accommodate families registered uninterruptedly in Benidorm during the six months prior to requesting this benefit.

The department of Education has reserved a budget item of 68,000 euros for these grants, of which this course has benefited a total of 858 students of public schools and concerted of Benidorm.

The documentation to request the help is available in the administrative extensions, in the Education Department -located on the third floor of the City Council- and on the web www.benidorm.org -Area of ​​Education, section Grants-. The completed application must be submitted in the administrative extensions or in the Department of Education.

Once the grant is provisionally granted, families will have until November 9 to present the invoice or invoices for purchases made in the establishments attached to the call: Librería Contalles, Librería Francés, Librería Ulises, Gráficas Maravall, Papelería Centro, Espriu Benidorm and Piking Pack.
