The exhibition can be seen until July 11 at Espai d’Art Urbà ‘El Pont’
Awards for local artistic creativity with the photography contest ‘Hung Galaxy’
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, together with the Councilor for Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer, have delivered the prizes this morning to the winners of 'Hung Galaxy' photography contest, after going through the panels with the images that are exposed in Espai d'Art Urbà 'El Pont'. In the act they have been accompanied by friends, family and the member of the jury of the exhibition, Alicia Lamarca
The first prize, endowed with 400 euros in photographic material, has been for Jesús Rodríguez; the second of 300, for Alicia Condé; the third endowed with 200, for Teodoro Rivas; finally, second prize, with 100, for Silvia Torrado. Given the quality of the works presented, the jury considered it convenient to give it two honorable mentions that have gone to the works of Jaime Serra and Pedro José Cabañero, and that have also been incorporated into the exhibition.
Toni Pérez is pleased that the exhibition is "urban art over urban art" and that the presence, more and more of "artists of recognized prestige" in the espai d'art urbà or in Boca del Calvari is used "to also energize the artistic side of our neighbors ”, as evidenced by the six backlit billboards of Espai d'Art Urbà 'El Pont'.
The six citizen photographs of ‘Hung Galaxy’ contest will remain on display until next July 11, one day before the exhibition of the Taiwanese artist leaves Benidorm.
