The cocktail also received the public mention for most popular, and Malaspina's 'Zero Garden' won the award for best non-alcoholic cocktail
Alameda Hotel, with its 'Flor de Levante', wins the prize at the 4th Cocktail Competition

Hotel Alameda's 'Flor de Levante' cocktail, created by bartender Yenier Barroso González, won the award for Best Cocktail 2025 today, with a diploma and trophy at this year's 4th Benidorm Gastronómico Cocktail Competition. The cocktail was the competition's big winner, also earning the Public's Special Mention for the most popular cocktail.
This year's competition also included a diploma and a trophy for the best non-alcoholic cocktail, a recognition awarded by a jury. The award went to the 'Zero Garden' cocktail from the Malaspina restaurant and created by bartender Aarón Triolo.
The awards ceremony for the cocktail competition, the penultimate event of Benidorm Gastronómico 2025, took place this morning at El Torrejó building, with the winners, sponsors, and a municipal delegation led by the Second Deputy Mayor, José Ramón González de Zárate.
This fourth edition of the competition took place from September 19th to 28th, with fourteen participating establishments (Baldo, Camarote Club Coctelería, D-Vora Restaurante, Hotel Alameda, Hotel Madeira Centro, Jolly Roger, La Pinta, La Pinta Beach, La Terrasse by Port Hotels, Malaspina, Pinocchio Playa, Shija Sabores de los Balcanes, and Urban Beach). Each of them had to present two types of cocktails: with or without alcohol.
The event also featured a raffle for a pack of six vouchers to redeem for six more cocktails at participating establishments.
The Second Deputy Mayor and Regional Representative, José Ramón González de Zárate, closed the event, emphasising that each entry "was a demonstration of talent, flavour, creativity, passion, and professionalism in exceptionally high-quality creations." The councillor stated that cocktail making "has ceased to be just the preparation of drinks and has become a creative and cultural discipline, comparable to haute cuisine. The bartender is now a creator, a host, and a trendsetter who seeks to surprise customers with unique proposals, combining cutting-edge techniques with tradition."
He also emphasised that cocktails are not only enjoyed for their flavour, but also for the presentation, the aesthetics, and the story behind each one."
González de Zárate thanked and congratulated the participating establishments, as well as the work of the jury. "Each bartender has demonstrated technique, expertise, artistry in mixing, and also a spirit of sharing and innovation, which has made this edition a true spectacle of quality, which is what makes these events and Benidorm great," the councillor concluded.
The 2025 Benidorm Gastronomic calendar will conclude with the 14th Rice Festival, which will take place from October 17 to 26.
