An employment counselor has conducted interviews with persons included in the database of the AEDL
The Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) collaborates continuously with the Provincial Union of Association for Mentally Handicapped in Alicante (UPAPSA) to improve the employability of people with disabilities. Within this collaboration, an employment counselor has had several meetings with people with disabilities in Benidorm and the region in the offices of the AEDL, with the aim of explaning the keys and tools to improve their employability. All people who have gone to these interviews are included in the database of the AEDL, as indicated by the councillor for Employment, María Jesús Pinto. The councillor explained that these interviews are part of the program of Job Placement of People with Disabilities and with it is "intended to influence the creation and maintenance of employment" of a group that presents difficulties to find a job. Pinto noted that through this program, "the tools used for the employment of people with disabilities in private enterprise is full and effective"; and she recalled that this is "a goal we have set as a priority". The councillor also announced that it is scheduled for this group training activities developed in the last quarter of the year, which will complement the activities carried out so far.
