Terraces in Benidorm will open until 11 at night

From Monday the 11th, during Phase 1, terraces of the hospitality industry in Benidorm will open, completing the security measures and protocols, until 11pm. This has been agreed in the last of the meetings that the associations ABRECA and OCIOBAL have held with the Department of Commerce of Benidorm City Council, and the mayor, with whom they have held, since the beginning of the crisis, the confinement and the passage for Phase 0, various planning meetings of the process and opening conditions in this new situation.
Toni Pérez pointed out that this new stage means "a working formula for the sector that will remain, like the city, on the path of prudence" and thanked the group "for their professionalism and ability to excel".
With a view to the resumption of activity, the cleaning and disinfection of premises, machinery, equipment and roads have been carried out, in the latter with the collaboration of the Benidorm City Council, and the acquisition of a new genre for the return to commercial development.
The Mayor has encouraged "to continue to maintain prudence, by establishments and customers, to guarantee the passage to the next phase and to be closer every day to the full and normal development of the activity."
Benidorm has more than 1,100 registered establishments of bars, restaurants and cafes sector.
The regulations establish that the open-air terraces of establishments in the sector may be reopened to the public, limiting themselves to 50% of the tables allowed. In any case, you must ensure that the proper physical distance of at least two meters is maintained between the tables. The maximum occupation will be ten people per table or group of tables. Menus will be avoided, opting for own electronic devices, blackboards, posters or other similar means.
There are also regulations for cleaning and disinfecting tables and chairs, as well as any other surface that may be occupied by various clients. As for the use of the toilets, they can only be used by one person at a time, unless it requires an assistant, and they must be cleaned with a specified frequency a minimum of six times daily.
