The Generalitat's public telecommunications operator will undertake the improvements throughout this year
The technological upgrade of DTT transmitters will improve the quality of the television signal in Benidorm

The public telecommunications operator of the Valencian Government, Infrastructures and Telecommunications Services and Certification (ISTEC), has informed Benidorm City Council that it will carry out technological upgrades of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) transmission equipment throughout this year. The objective of this equipment upgrade is to improve the quality of the television signal received in the city.
Thus, according to ISTEC, broadcasting will begin on the national multiplexes MPE4 and MPE5, which include channels such as Boing, Energy, Mega, Trece, Atreseries, BeMad TV, Real Madrid TV, and Ten. The service improvement work, they have warned, could cause some interruptions in the broadcast, which could last an entire morning.
However, ISTEC has also indicated that the City Council will be contacted a week before the work is carried out to inform them of the exact date the technological upgrade work will begin. They have also announced that once the work is completed, it will be necessary to retune the televisions.
