The RH Hoteles chain certifies all its hotels with the S for Sustainability
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, participated this Tuesday in the delivery of the S Mark for Sustainability that the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) has awarded to the hotel chain RH Hoteles. The event took place in one of the emblematic establishments of this company, the RH Canfali Hotel in Benidorm, and also included the participation of the general director of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ester Labaig; the president of ICTE, Miguel Mirones; the president of Hosbec, Fede Fuster; the manager of Visit Benidorm, Leire Bilbao, as well as a wide representation of personalities from the tourism sector and the award-winning chain, led by its president, José Hernández.
The S Mark for Sustainability is a pioneering distinction in the world that certifies, through external audit, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030 in the tourism sector. RH Hotels has managed to certify with this distinction the 21 tourist establishments it has spread throughout different destinations in the Valencian Community, seven of them in Benidorm.
Mayor Toni Pérez has highlighted the “great commitment to sustainability” that the chain chaired by José Hernández has been carrying out for just over twenty years, “especially from the environmental point of view but also from the social level” and recalled that This company employs about “1,500 people in its hotels, allowing all of them to have a vocation, a life project and a commitment to our planet.”
