The bus stop on Estación Street has been moved to Beniardá, and it is still recommended to access the Sports City via Foietes Avenue
Mobility extends the traffic cut to the intersection with Beniardá due to infrastructure renovation works on Capitán Cortés Street

The Department of Mobility announced today that starting next Monday, May 5th, the traffic closure due to water infrastructure renovation works on Capitán Cortés Street will be extended to the intersection with Beniardá Avenue. This extended traffic closure, which will prevent vehicle traffic from Beniardá Avenue to Guadarlest Street, will be in effect until the end of June.
This new phase of work will involve relocating the bus stop from Estación Street to Beniardá Avenue. Specifically, depending on the direction of travel, the stop will be operational a few meters from the Foietes-Colonia Madrid administrative extension and near the intersection of Beniardá and Sella Street.
Also, during the closure, Rejoneador Ginés Cartagena and Castellana Streets—between Goya and Capitán Cortés—will be closed off. Access to the parking lots and fords located in the alley between Sierra de Aitana and Goya must be accessed via the latter's intersection with Rejoneador Ginés Cartagena.
Finally, the recommendation to access Guillermo Amor Sports City via Avenida de Foietes remains in place.
The water infrastructure renovation works are valued at around €400,000, and the completion period for the various phases is four months. This project includes the comprehensive renovation of the drinking water supply, sewerage, and stormwater networks, as the current infrastructure is over 30 years old and has deficiencies that affect service.
With this project, Benidorm City Council aims to provide a comprehensive solution for these services, also taking the opportunity to improve the urban landscape and plant trees.
