Cáritas will take care of the distribution of toys among families with fewer resources

The Library collects about a thousand toys in its Christmas solidarity campaign

28 December 2018
La Biblioteca recoge cerca de un millar de juguetes en su campaña solidaria de Navidad

The Central Library has collected about a thousand toys in its solidarity campaign 'A toy, a thousand dreams' with which it is intended that no child is left without gifts this Christmas. For just over a month, users of the Library and neighbors have provided new toys or in good condition for all ages, which will now be distributed by Caritas among families with fewer resources, as explained today by the Councilor for Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer

Pellicer stressed that "the public has responded so excellently that they have exceeded the expectations with which we started this second solidarity campaign in which, in addition to the staff of the Library, volunteers from the Center for Rehabilitation and Social Integration have also collaborated (CRIS) that have been in charge of the selection and separation of the toys ".

The Councilor for Historical Heritage thanked "the solidarity and involvement of all the people who have participated in this campaign, who with their generosity and altruism have contributed to the children of the most disadvantaged families have a more exciting Christmas."

Among the toys are dolls, puzzles, cars, scooters, stories, board games and construction, and educational for different ages.
