The Easter Fair of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals opens its doors in Elche Park
The 2026 Patron Saint Festival Committee, in collaboration with the Benidorm City Council's Department of Festivals, inaugurated the traditional Easter Fair this morning. At the fair, festival organisers and collaborating organisations sell crafts, food, and other typical Easter products. The fair will run today, Saturday, and tomorrow, Sunday, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm in Elche Park.
The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; the adult and children's festival queens, Laura Ivars and Carmen Guillem; the president of the Festival Committee, Ramón Cano; and members of the City Council, inaugurated the fair at 10:00 AM with the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. As every year, the Fira offers the public a market "full of tradition, flavour, and culture," which also serves to raise funds for the organisation of the Fiestas Mayores next November.
The Comissió has set up various stalls in this popular location frequented by residents and visitors to promote them and showcase them as an integral part of our culture and tradition. A bar with affordable prices has also been set up, offering samples of small sandwiches and drinks to accompany some of the products purchased at the fair.
In addition to raising funds, the event is an opportunity to highlight our gastronomy and traditional crafts, especially those from this time of year. It has also become an event that "helps to revitalise the city during some particularly important days for us, such as Holy Week, generating activity, supporting local businesses, and creating an atmosphere designed for everyone to enjoy," stated the Councillor for Fiestas.
