The Dance Conservatory brings together 450 Benidorm schoolchildren in the cycle 'Do you want to dance?'
The Auditorium of Benidorm Cultural Center has welcomed about 450 schoolchildren from different educational centres to participate in the cycle 'Do you want to dance?', organized by the Benidorm Municipal Elementary Dance Conservatory in collaboration with the Department of Education. The councillor of the department, Maite Moreno, explained that the objective of this day is to “disseminate the activity and training given at the Conservatory to awaken interest in dance among the boys and girls of our city”, regarding all taking into account that we are in the middle of the registration period to request a place for the next academic year 2024-2025.
During this cycle, students from different Primary school centres in Benidorm have enjoyed a demonstration by the Conservatory students. Specifically, a class on classical dance, Spanish dance, contemporary dance, and musical expression was led by the teaching staff of the Municipal Elementary Conservatory of Dance.
The Councilor for Education recalled that this centre has a registration period open for girls and boys aged 8 to 12 and 7 who were born in 2016 and want to pursue official education. Likewise, she has explained that the 1st year entrance test is an aptitude test, so you do not need prior knowledge of dance.
In addition, throughout June, applications can be submitted for Dance Initiation for boys and girls aged 6 and 7 (born in 2017 and 2018), receiving one hour of weekly Spanish Dance class and one hour of weekly class. of Classical Dance, as well as for Intermediate Grade, aimed at students from 12 years old and with prior knowledge.
“All of this at very affordable rates, as it is a municipal activity, belonging to the Department of Education of the Benidorm City Council,” added the councillor.
