Benidorm improves the wooden flooring of Levante beach library, which is operational again from today
The Beach Department of the Benidorm City Council has carried out improvement actions on the platform of the Levante biblioplaya, which as of today, Thursday, May 30, is operational again during its usual hours. The councillor for the department, Mónica Gómez, explained that “the previous wooden flooring was damaged due to the intensive use of the facilities”. The work that “has been carried out by municipal services and that ends just before the start of the high season, the time of greatest influx of users.” During yesterday's session, the technical services completed the work.
Thus, starting today, Thursday, the beach library located at the junction of Madrid and Europa avenues will operate again from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The beach library, Gómez recalled, “has a wide range of books, newspapers and magazines” and where “you can also find bibliographic and newspapers in several languages since it is the one with the largest number of users.”
The Levante beach library is operational all year round except from January 15 to February 15, when all beach furniture is removed for cleaning the sand. The councillor highlighted that “Benidorm's beaches have certificates of excellence and quality both for their environmental value and for the services they offer to users, such as the prestigious Q for Quality; services among which are our beach library.”
