Benidorm City Council has honored today, Santa Rita's day, the workers of its staff who have completed 25 years of service and those who have retired during the last twelve 12 months. It has also had a heartfelt memory for the two officials who have died this year. In an act held in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall, the mayor, Toni Pérez, together with the Councilor for Human Resources, Ángela Zaragozí, and other members of the Corporation, has been in charge of delivering the commemorative gifts to the honorees, with which his years of public service are recognized.

In the last year, 25 municipal workers from different areas have retired, while 17 have completed 25 years of service in Benidorm City Council.

After the delivery of gifts and the memory of the two deceased workers, the mayor has assured that all the people recognized today "are, have been and will be an example of a vocation for public service, a vocation to serve the public". Toni Pérez thanked all of them for "the service you provided during your years in office, the one you provide today and the one that, in many cases, you will continue to provide in the future" to serve "people" from the different units and municipal facilities.

The mayor wished "happy retirement" to all the people who have already said goodbye to the municipal staff; he encouraged those who still have years of service ahead of them to continue working from that vocation of attention; while he thanked the relatives of the deceased for "the work" carried out in the City Hall by their loved ones throughout the years that they were active.

The act ended with a family photo in which the honorees participated, together with the mayor and the councilor for Human Resources.
