The City Council launches a new edition of the 'Employment and Training Resource Guide'
The City Council has published a new updated edition of the 'Resource Guide for employment and training of Benidorm. It is “a tool that collects the training offer of the city and its closest geographical environment, a directory of public and private resources, and detailed support information for job search, for the creation of companies and for specific groups, like people with functional diversity”, as explained by the councilors of Employment and Local Development and Education, Mónica Gómez and Maite Moreno.
The guide, of which 600 copies have been published, has been prepared by technicians from both Departments and is 50% co-financed by the Provincial Council of Alicante, through a grant of 2,579.94 euros granted for this publication and for the program 'Improve your employability.
Among the information collected in the 'Resource Guide for employment and training is "the training offer of Benidorm and the region, both regulated training -universities, Vocational Training Cycles, and public and private educational centers-, as well as of the specific one oriented to employment”, Moreno has indicated. Existing resources to access this training "such as scholarships, grants or educational exchange programs" are also included.
In relation to the search for employment, the person in charge of the area has specified that the publication "offers specific information on guidance resources and ways of accessing the labor market". In addition, it incorporates “detailed information for the creation of companies, including the different aids available to entrepreneurs; as well as information on training and employment for specific groups”.
This guide will be distributed among Secondary Education Institutes, businesses or sector associations -of the disabled, women, and students, among others-, and will be available to users in the Departments of Social Welfare, Youth, and Education. It will also be sent to unions and other institutions related to training and employment, to public entities, to organizations that request it directly from the Employment and Local Development Agency itself, as well as to participants in their own programs, both training, and access. to employment.
In addition, shortly it will also be available online in the Employment and Local Development section of the municipal website www.benidorm.org.
