Benidorm once again offers a wide and varied cultural offer for all audiences during the summer months in a large number of cultural spaces

Cinema, concerts, conferences, music, opera, theater and exhibitions in Benidorm's cultural program for this summer

The Department of Culture of Benidorm City Council has prepared a wide and complete cultural program for the summer months of July and August with a varied offer for all audiences and tastes. Thus, those attending the organized events will be able to enjoy cinema, concerts, music, opera, theater, conferences, and exhibitions in these two months and they will do so, above all, in a wide variety of open-air spaces where traditionally Developed summer programming.

This program began on June 29 with the III Festival de Dansa al carrer Les Ones that ended on the 2nd. The XXXIV International Music Course has also concluded, which has offered concerts and activities every day until last Friday. Another of the activities carried out has been the conference 'La Marina de la Enlightenment' by Admiral Marcial Gamboa on the 3rd.

The Mal Pas 'Cinema on the Beach' cycle will begin on the 21st with the screening of the film 'Valentina' at 9:30 p.m. On August 4, 'Padre no hay más que uno 3' will be screened. Both tapes are aimed at a family audience.

The cultural program also offers opera on July 14 in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall with the representation of Puccini's 'Turandot' starting at 9:00 p.m.

As for the planned concerts, to those already held by Rondalla of the ACR La Barqueta, the Benidorm Choral Association, on July 15 there will be a tribute to Jaime Antón by the Unión Musical Symphonic Band, in the auditorium of the Cultural Center of the city at 7:30 p.m. On the 19th, the Big Band of the Societat Musical L'Illa de Benidorm will perform at Plaça del Castell at 9:30 p.m. The Symphonic Band of the S.M. La Nova will also visit the Cultural Center for a concert entitled 'Cinema and Music' on July 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The concerts will continue on the 27th of this month with the Camerata Ars Cantica in the municipal Assembly Hall at 9:00 p.m. and on August 6 there will be a concert in honor of Sant Jaume by the Rondalla of the ACR La Barqueta in the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana.

The Department has also scheduled magic and theater shows for August aimed at all audiences. Thus, the first of them will be on the 11th at ten at night with 'Volver a Creer' by Toni Bright. A mint magic show sponsored by the Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture in Alicante. A day later, on August 12, Luis Piedrahita's 'Stand-up Summer' will be held at the Óscar Esplá amphitheater. Tickets for it are already on sale at the price of 16 euros on the web at www.giglon.com. Finally, on August 18, the Pàmpol Teatre company will bring the play 'Ferdinando, the Bull' to the Parque de Foietes as part of the Alicante Provincial Council's 2023 music and theater dissemination campaign.

The cultural program this summer also includes an itinerant exhibition by Natalia Caballé, which with the title 'Other worlds' can be visited from the 12th of this month to the 10th of August at the Espai d'Art of the Benidorm City Council.

The Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, pointed out about the programming that "once again Benidorm's commitment to culture is evident, which is demonstrated with a wide variety of offers also in the summer months".

He also highlighted that "the cultural programming is accessible to all audiences and especially to families because there are many visitors who want to come and enjoy what we can offer them in cultural matters in Benidorm."

The mayor, finally, indicated that "no one can complain because the program is very complete, with movies, concerts, shows, theater and a large number of activities so that everyone has a choice and especially in open spaces and places as has done every year."
