Benidorm participa la próxima semana del 20 Aniversario del ‘Parque Natural de Serra Gelada y Su Entorno Litoral’ con varias actividades

Serra Gelada Natural Park celebrates its 20th anniversary, and Benidorm is celebrating this anniversary by hosting the bulk of the commemorative activities, which will take place from September 23rd to 27th in the city itself and in the neighbouring municipalities of l'Àlfàs del Pi and Altea. The program includes numerous outdoor activities within the natural park, as well as conferences and training activities for both the general public and professionals.

The program in Benidorm begins at José Llorca Linares Social Centre on Tuesday, September 23rd, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the training sessions "Your sea, your history, the footprints you leave behind. How to explain the Natura 2000 network to your clients." Organised by Life A-Mar, this talk-workshop will train tourism industry professionals on how to convey an awareness-raising message to their clients to promote the sustainability of the natural environment. Then, at 7:10 p.m., technician Rafael Barrero Sánchez will offer a lecture entitled "Silene d'Ifac, from the brink of extinction to the recovery of an iconic species."

On Wednesday the 24th, starting at 9:00 a.m., a land and sea cleanup will take place around Cala del Ti Ximo. The Mundomar Foundation, the Red Cross, the Marina Baixa Fire Department, and several diving clubs support this activity.

The activities in Benidorm will continue on the afternoon of Friday, the 26th, at the José Llorca Linares Social Centre with three additional lectures. At 5:00 p.m., Francesc Xabier Llorca Ibi will give his presentation "Between Sea and Land: The Names of the Serra Gelada Natural Park." At 5:50 p.m., Jaime Penadés will speak on "Taurons and Cracks of the Serra Gelada Natural Park and Adjacent Areas." And at 6:40 p.m., Ximo Pina will address the 'Recovery of a unique heritage site: the archaeological excavation of the Torre de les Caletes'.

Registration for the conferences and different activities must be made through the email serragelada@gva.es or on the natural parks website of the Generalitat Valenciana.
