Benidorm reopens Orts Llorca street after the works of remodeling and changes the circulation in a section of Gerona

Benidorm City Council has reopened today to the traffic - coinciding with the beginning of the first phase of Easter - Dr. Orts Llorca street after the remodeling works that have allowed to improve the drainage of rainwater and the urban scene of this via. A street that has gained space for pedestrian traffic increasing the size of sidewalks and gardens.

Taking advantage of this reopening, it has changed the direction of the circulation in the section of the street Gerona that connects the avenue Europa with Orts Llorca. In this way, the vehicles that descend through Orts Llorca can now join the avenue of Europe through Gerona Street.

This change, in a period of tests since today, is the first phase of an action that seeks to relieve traffic on the Mediterranean avenue and avoid bottlenecks in Orts Llorca. In a second phase you want to eliminate the part of the median of the avenue of Europe located in front of the street Gerona and to establish in this point a semaforizado crossing.
