The Festes Majors Patronals of Benidorm, on their fourth day, have paid tribute to the deceased. First with a requiem mass in the church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna and then with an offering at Plaça de la Senyoría and in the two cemeteries of the city. The third 'mascletá' has brought noise and gunpowder to Jaime I Avenue

The day began at nine in the morning with a chocolate in the mayoral tent and half an hour later the Commission collected the queens and their courts of honor to reach the tent and from there go to the parish church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, accompanied by the authorities.

In the church, a solemn requiem mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. for the souls of all the deceased of Benidorm, which was officiated by the parish priest of the church, Juan Antonio González. The religious ceremony was attended by the mayor Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros, representatives of the municipal corporation, the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Angélica Morenilla and Daniela Talavera, as well as the presidents of the Commission and the Association of Penyes, Vicente Solaz and Ramón Cano, in addition to a large number of neighbors.

Once the religious ceremony was over, the queens and authorities offered a laurel wreath at the fountain of the monument to the Fallen at Sea in the Plaça de la Senyoría. A crown from the City Council and another from the Festes Majors Patronals. Afterward, the procession moved to the two cemeteries of the city, Verge del Sofratge and Sant Jaume, where tribute was paid to the deceased with wreaths of flowers and a response was said for them.

At 2:00 p.m., from Jaime I Avenue like every day, the third mascletá of the Festes was fired, also by the Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo. 80.53 kilos of gunpowder were fired with a duration of 350 seconds, almost six minutes. A spectacle with a final roar that has been enjoyed by thousands of revelers, neighbors, and tourists.

This afternoon the program of events continues. From 5:45 p.m. Plaza de SS MM Los Reyes de España will host the musical 'The Revolution' for all ages, and from 7 p.m. the traditional 'Humor Parade' organized by the Associació de Penyes and sponsored by the Comissió, which five local clubs will take part. The parade awards will be announced during the concert that will take place starting at 11:00 p.m. in the Plaza de SS MM Los Reyes de España with performances by DJ Kalenda Miss Deep In and Henry Méndez.
