The Plenary Hall of Benidorm City Council has been the setting where this afternoon the award ceremony of the Collective Medal for Merit at Work has been held for the Labour Relations members of the Marina Baixa with 20 or more years of membership.

The distinction is granted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, according to Royal Decree 827/1982.

The event was presided over by the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, and was attended by members of the local corporation, as well as the Governing Board of the Association of Labour Relations Graduates in Alicante, the president of the Association, María Antonia Oliva and the regional delegate in the Marina Baixa, Antonio Cánovas.

Olivas thanked the City Council for having carried out the event here and congratulated all those who received the diploma. She recalled that "the years of the pandemic were hard times to work, but beautiful at the same time as a group to move forward with problems". She finished by indicating that the Association of Labour Relations Graduates "is a support for any initiative or concern of the members."

For his part, Mayor Toni Pérez underlined "the honor of welcoming everyone here today" and said that this is "a very vocational and necessary profession."

Pérez thanked "the professionalism that you have always shown so that problems have a correct solution" and of the distinguished ones he said that "they are people who have made life easy for other people in hard times".
