González de Zárate has asked the neighbors for "a little patience" "because these are two very important works" that will end in just a few days

Benidorm finishes next week the improvement of accessibility and mobility in several roads of Foietes and La Cala

Benidorm City Council will finish next week the works to improve mobility and accessibility in Ricardo Bayona, Venezuela, Panama and Peru streets in the Foietes neighbourhood and also in Denia street in  La Cala district. Some works will consist of the milling, asphalting and painting of the horizontal signalling of the streets, in what constitutes the final actions that have been carried out in recent weeks.

In the case of Foietes neighbourhood, an action contemplated in the participatory budgets, the Councilor for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, has detailed that this last phase will begin on Sunday night and will last for three or four days "so we hope that on Wednesday or Thursday everything will be finished”. The work will be carried out at night to have the least impact on traffic.

Once this action is completed, another similar intervention will begin on Denia street, a road on which accessible sidewalks have been implanted with much more width and new trees. "With the asphalting that is going to be undertaken, the road will not have sidewalks, which greatly improves mobility on the street," explained González de Zárate.

The mayor has highlighted the importance of both works "because they greatly improve traffic, mobility and accessibility in two neighbourhoods that are essential for Benidorm." The councilman, who has said that both actions "are very important", has asked the neighbours and residents of both areas "for a little patience and tranquillity because of the work of the machinery that will be used", although he has clarified that " throughout next week everything will be finished”.

The machinery will carry out its work from 10 pm on Sunday in the streets of Foietes, while in Denia street the intervention will be carried out during daytime hours once the previous one has finished.
