The City Council initiates the adaptation of the facilities, which involves an investment of nearly to 48,000 euros, in addition to those already allocated to other departments
Benidorm completes the accessibility in all administrative extensions acting in Foietes

The administrative extension will remain closed, initially, until January 10.

Benidorm City Ciuncil has begun work on adapting the municipal administrative extension of Foietes-Colonia Madrid, which once completed the action will be fully accessible. The Councilor of Administrative Extensions, Mª Jesús Pinto, has indicated that "in the last three years we have intervened in all the administrative extensions of the city, updating the facilities and making them completely accessible". In fact, "Foietes was the only extension that still presented some architectural barrier".
Pinto explained that "these adaptation works have involved an investment of around 48,000 euros, which will serve to act on accessibility, pavement, carpentry, painting, waterproofing the roof and air conditioning."
Due to these works, the administrative extension of Foietes-Colonia Madrid, located in the upper part of Avenida Beniardá, will remain closed for several weeks. In the meantime, people who need some procedure or municipal management should go to the extension of Els Tolls-Salt de l'Aigua, on Avenida de Andalucía, 9; while those who need to use the PROP service of the Generalitat Valenciana may do it from January 2 in the central offices of the City Hall, at Plaza Sus Majestades de SS MM los Reyes de España.
In principle the reopening of the administrative extension of Foietes-Colonia Madrid is scheduled for next January 10, although this date may vary depending on how works are developed.
