Benidorm joins the 'Shortest Day' with the screening of five short films nominated for the Oscars
One more year, Benidorm City Council joins the film event 'The Shortest Day' (ED + C) with the screening of five Spanish short films that in recent years have been nominated for the Oscars. This free activity will begin at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, December 21, in the Hall of Acts of the City Council; and it has been designed by the Department of Culture directed by Ana Pellicer and by the organizers of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival, whose third edition will be held from April 4 to 7.
The screening will start with 'Timecode' by Juanjo Giménez, candidate for the Oscar in 2017; and will continue with the animated short film 'La dama y la muerte', signed by Javier Recio and nominated for an Oscar in 2009. Attendees will also enjoy 'Eramos pocos' by Borja Cobeaga, candidate for the statuette in 2005; and 'Aquel no era yo', by Esteban Crespo, who was nominated in 2014. The closing will be the screening 'Binta y la gran idea', by Javier Fesser, who opted for the Oscar in 2007.
