Benidorm is committed to implementing the Smart Hotel standard to generate new synergies between accommodation and destination

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has assured that the finalization and implementation of the new standard Smart Hotel PNE 178504 is a great challenge and a great opportunity to "improve the governance" of cities by establishing new synergies between accommodation and destination tourist. Pérez has made this reflection during a working day organized in Madrid by the Enertic platform in the hands of the Secretary of State of Digital Advance, to which Benidorm has been invited and in which Segittur has also participated; the Universities of Alcalá de Henares and Juan Carlos I; the Innovation and Technology Center of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia; the Community of Madrid; and the City Councils of Valencia, Sant Cugat and Móstoles.

Perez has stated that "sharing the Big Data" will also make it possible to advance "in resilience", in which capacity of the destinations and also of the accommodations to anticipate possible emergency situations; Something in which "we are already working in Benidorm".
