Benidorm City Council and Doble Amor renew their collaboration agreement

Benidorm City Council and the Doble Amor Association signed a collaboration agreement today, under which the charity will receive €50,000 to support its activities in Benidorm and its surrounding area.
The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, signed the document today alongside the Association's president, José Luis Calvo, in the presence of the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí. The mayor stated that "the grant will be used to carry out activities and promote the social integration of people with disabilities who attend Doble Amor."
Toni Pérez recalled that Doble Amor "has been working for decades to improve the quality of life and social opportunities of its users," who find in the organization a "space for learning, training, coexistence, and well-being."
With this grant, Doble Amor will be able to cover part of the salaries of its specialized staff, consulting expenses, maintenance of its headquarters, and transportation for its users.
Double Amor is a non-profit association founded in 1971 and declared a Public Utility by the Council of Ministers in 1979. It has an Occupational Center in the L'Horta area of Benidorm that serves more than fifty people between the ages of 18 and 65 with intellectual disabilities throughout Marina Baixa. A dozen direct care and service professionals provide services there.
