Benidorm festeja a Sant Isidre con una misa y una Romería hasta la Ermita de Sanç

The Sant Isidre Festival Committee celebrated the patron saint of farmers' day yesterday with a mass and a sweet snack for festival-goers, collaborators, and residents at the Hermitage of Sanç. In this way, the residents of l'Horta kicked off one of the traditional celebrations that take place throughout the year in this Benidorm neighbourhood, along with those of Sant Antoni, Mare de Déu del Roser, and the Hermitage's Three Wise Men Parade.

The mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, participated in the mass in honor of Sant Isidre, along with the Councilor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros, and other members of the municipal council; the queens of the 2025 Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pascual Sánchez and Aitana Pérez Gutiérrez; The presidents of the Commission for Major Patronal Festivals and the Association of Verge del Sofratge Penyes, Susana Martínez and Jonathan López de las Huertas; the president of Sant Isidre, Álvaro Olivar, as well as festival-goers from this commission, residents, and representatives of other festive organizations in the Huerta.

The celebrations for Sant Isidre will continue this Saturday afternoon in the Plaza de la Ermita, with the decoration of the floats that will participate in the traditional pilgrimage on Sunday.

On Sunday, the main day of the festivities, will begin early with the collection and transfer of the floats to Avenida de Bilbao. From there, at 10:00 a.m., the Sant Isidre Pilgrimage will depart, following Levante Beach, Ametlla de Mar, and Severo Ochoa to the Benidorm Palace, where participants will make a stop to recharge their batteries. The pilgrimage will then continue along Severo Ochoa and the Albir tourist road, ending at the Hermitage of Sanç. Once at the Hermitage, at around 1:00 p.m., the traditional auction of botijos will take place, along with a bar with food and drinks at affordable prices and live music to liven up the celebrations.
