In contrast, Poniente has been chosen by groups of older friends and families in full to jump the waves, as dictates tradition.

The special device of the City Council for tonight, made up of 30 reinforcement agents in the Local Police, Civil Protection and complementary personnel in the services of first aid and cleaning has allowed Benidorm to have lived one night without incident. The Councilor for Beaches and Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, has confirmed the "No serious mishaps", he congratulated the officials and the staff of the cleaning company "because the first hour of everything was ready" to receive To the bathers. Martínez also thanked the "civic behavior" demonstrated by the vast majority of those who have chosen Benidorm to live the shortest night of the year.
