Association of Penyes of Benidorm launches the XIX 'Festa de la Solidaritat'
The councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, Alejandro Giménez and Pedro Rostoll, of the Association of Penyes, have presented this morning 'Festa de la Solidaritat', an initiative that "was born in Benidorm 19 years ago," said Carrobles, and today it is a benchmark in the entire Region "that" has been exported "to other locations such as Alcoi, Dénia or Villena.
The Association of Penyes "Verge del Sofratge" of Benidorm organizes through the Center of Transfusions of the Valencian Community along with the collaboration of the Department of Fiestas, 'Festa de la Solidaritat', a solidarity activity that reaches the nineteenth edition and which will take place next Tuesday May 21 at the Casal Fester in Benidorm (Calle la Biga, 3).
Alejandro Giménez has mentioned the requirements for people who want to participate: You must have an "age between 18 and 65 years." It is advisable to "eat breakfast normally and come well hydrated, weigh more than 50 kg and carry ID or driver's license". Once the donation is made, the participants will receive solid and liquid food, and the first ones who come will be able to take "a donor bracelet as a gift until the end of stock".
The Casa del Fester will open its doors from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm in the morning, and in the afternoon from 4.30 pm to 9.00 pm. Donations that can be made during the solidarity day will be blood, marrow and food. This year the donation of food and hygiene products will be in favor of Caritas in the church of Almudena.
For his part, Rostoll encourages "to go to the whole world to Casa Fester to be able to overcome the donation of the previous year that was already very important".
Finally, the councilor of Fiestas thanked the solidarity effort of Benidorm and encouraged all citizens "peñistas or not" to participate again in the 'Festa de la Solidaridad'. It is a "happy day" in which it is demonstrated that Benidorm and the Association of Penyes "besides having fun, they also know how to collaborate".
