'The world is not pink' can already be visited in the Espai d'Art of the City Hall

05 September 2017
‘El mundo no es de color de rosa’ ya se puede visitar en el Espai d’Art del Ayuntamiento

Made by Fundación Triángulo arrives in Benidorm from the hand of Ábaco LGTB +

The support of the City Council to the LGBT collective has once again been manifested this afternoon with the inauguration of the exhibition 'The world is not pink' that can be visited in the Espai d'Art of the hall of the Town Hall until the next Saturday, September 9.

The Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll, in a brief parliament attended by some members of the corporation and public in general, has addressed the attendees to reaffirm that from her Council this group will "always" be supported and has been committed to "do everything we can" to achieve equality, put these days of manifest in the city with the celebration of Benidorm Pride.

The exhibition has been made by Fundación Triángulo and has arrived in Benidorm by the hand of Ábaco LGTB +. The president of this association, Lorenzo Medina, has taken the floor to "publicize the situation and the need for real equality" suffered by the group because "despite the regrets" in Spain there is still a lot of work to get " equal rights. "

Medina has thanked the commitment of the City Council manifested by the departments of Equality and Mobility. In fact, the latter painted the colors of the rainbow, the flagship of the LGTB movement, the confluence of the Paseo de Levante with Europa Avenue and installed the first 'egalitarian traffic lights' in Benidorm. "Details," points out Medina, "as painting the rainbow in the street or traffic lights where the love between two men or two women is represented, they are gradually making people internalize these realities that exist in our society."
