The two councilors of the municipal group of CBM are incorporated to the local government

06 June 2017
Los dos concejales del grupo municipal de CBM se incorporan al gobierno local

Arturo Cabrillo will manage the areas of Sports and Street Cleaning, and Paquita Ripoll will be in charge of Equality

The mayor holds open the door to dialogue and agreements with all groups

The two councilors of the municipal group of Ciudadanos por Benidorm (CBM), Arturo Cabrillo and Paquita Ripoll, have joined the local government, composed today of ten members. The mayor, Toni Pérez, has reported that the municipal groups of PP and CBM have closed a "liability agreement", based on which Arturo Cabrillo assumes the management of Sports and Road Cleaning areas - up to now in the hands of the councilors Popular Ana Pellicer and José Ramón González de Zárate, while Paquita Ripoll will be in charge of the Department of Equality - received from Angela Llorca. In addition, the CBM spokesman will occupy the third Mayor's Office in place of Lourdes Caselles.

Pérez has moved the terms of this agreement in a press conference in which he has been accompanied by government spokesmen, José Ramón González de Zárate and Lourdes Caselles, and by the two councilors of CBM. During the press conference, the mayor pointed out that the areas that assume the new members of the local executive "are three delegations to work," and has clarified that the meetings of the Local Government Board will be present all councilors Of both municipal groups, although they do not occupy Town Hall Holdings.

The mayor has indicated that the management teams of both parties have backed this government agreement. It has also meant "the unblemished trajectory" of both CBM councilors in their "public activity," and thanked them in advance for "how much they will do" in their new responsibilities.

Cabrillo and Ripoll, meanwhile, have clarified that they have joined the government to understand that it is "the time to help and collaborate" with the city. Both have thanked the members of the popular group "for trusting us," and have moved that they will work "in a humble and honest way."

On how this government agreement has been established, the mayor has stated that it is the result of the "permanent dialogue" that his group has deployed with the entire corporation since the beginning of the legislature. A dialogue aimed at achieving the greatest consensus "to work for Benidorm in an honest, sincere and sensible", and also to achieve a government as wide as possible. That same dialogue, he added, has allowed "pushing forward the budgets of two exercises" and closing "important agreements for the city" with different groups - and almost always with CBM.

Pérez stressed that the daily work of his team will be to "continue working, managing and dialoguing" with the groups, and added that "the door remains open" to reach agreements that allow new additions to the local government.
