Plaza del Castell has once again been the scene of tuna snoring, specifically a 270-kilogram bluefin tuna, an event that marked the beginning of the IV Tuna Days, the second stage of Benidorm Gastronomic 2024, which are celebrated from the 12th to the 21st of this month.
The show was attended by Mayor Toni Pérez, Commissioner of the National Police, Ceferino Serrano, Senator Agustín Almodóbar, and members of the local corporation, among many other guests and curious onlookers who did not want to miss the details of the cutting. of the tuna made, as in previous years, by Atunes Fuentes.
From the Almadrabera company Juan Pablo Nicolás has been explaining the entire process in detail, an exhibition of cutting the specimen in an orderly manner, from which they extract up to 24 pieces, between noble parts and internal parts, both traditional cuts and the parts learned from The japanese culture. Pérez finally congratulated the 13 restaurants participating and encouraged them to participate in this gastronomic event "very much in tune with the spirit of Benidorm."
'Benidorm Gastronómico' will celebrate from today until April 21 the fourth Tuna Days, the second activity in the gastronomic calendar of local events, organized by Abreca and Benidorm City Council.
The participating establishments are El Puerto, Esturión, Gastro Urban Beach, Jardín Mediterráneo, La Arrocería de la Mejillonera, La Brasería Aurrerá, La Tapería Aurrerá, La Cava Aragonesa, Llum de Mar, Malpas, Malaspina, Mía Social Club and Pinocchio Playa.
