El pianista Fabio Afune protagoniza este viernes el Ciclo de Grandes Recitales en Benidorm

Benidorm Town Hall Assembly Hall will be the stage tomorrow, Friday, for the third of the concerts included in the Cycle of Great Recitals organized by the Department of Culture led by councillor Jaime Jesús Pérez for 2025. The annual cycle brings high-quality performers with a recognized professional career to the city. 'Bells for Peace' is the title of this concert, starring the pianist Fabio Afrune, who will perform a program with music by Modest Moussorgsky, Pedro Salinas, Lusa Monllor and Krassimir Taskov.

Jaime Jesús Pérez has reported that the concert will take place from 8 p.m. in the Benidorm Town Hall Assembly Hall and has recalled that, "like the vast majority of cultural activities that we organize from the City Council, admission is free and open to the public, until the room is full." Pianist, teacher and music populariser, Fabio Afrune was born in 1995 in Perugia, Italy.

He has won numerous international competitions and prestigious awards, such as the Roscini Prize, the Gerofi-Baschwitz Prize, and the UNESCO Special Prize. His repertoire ranges from early music performed on the harpsichord and clavichord to the great piano works of Schumann, Beethoven, Brahms, Liszt, Skrjabin, and Rachmaninov, among others.

In the first part of the concert ‘Campanas por la paz’ he will perform Mussorgsky’s composition ‘Cuadros de una feria’. The second part will include a repertoire with the themes ‘In Memoriam Vicente Monerris’, by Pedro Salinas; ‘Casi dos mil niños’ by Lusa Monllor; ‘Pieza para piano’ by Pedro Salinas; and, finally, ‘Sacrificio de Invierno’ and ‘Scherzo’, both by Krassimir Taskov.
