Mónica Gómez, at the closing of the AVIBE Assembly, reaffirms the commitment of Benidorm City Council with the productive and social fabrics
Gómez recalled that, but due to the pandemic, “the model has never been at risk” and highlighted “the trust” that the agencies have maintained in the Benidorm product and “the good work of many professionals dedicated to carrying out companies related to the sightseeing".
Gómez referred to the employment data recorded in the month of April, "the best month of April since 2008, figures very similar to those of 2018 and 2019, two very positive years in terms of tourism" and reaffirmed the commitment of the Benidorm City Council " next to the productive fabric” through “direct lines of support for companies, entrepreneurs and the self-employed to reduce impacts and enable economic relief”, recalling that this week direct aid “for rent and supplies” has been approved, which has increased “up to 9,000 euros per association”. The Councilor for Employment and Local Development showed the predisposition of the City Council "to develop courses and training processes".
The president of AVIBE, Pérez Parker, thanked the help and pointed out the window of hope that is opening for the sector with the prospects that are being considered and the projection of the association in the county area.
The closing ceremony was attended by the provincial deputy José Ramón González de Zárate, the director of the Costa Blanca Tourist Board and the director of Invat.tur. The councilor apologized for the absence of the mayor of Toni Pérez, who was speaking at the International Congress on Tourism Quality and Sustainability at the same time.
