La Taberna Andaluza and Molta Pasta win the prizes from the public and the jury of the XIII Tapas and Pinchos Contest
The establishments La Taberna Andaluza and Molta pasta have won this noon with the main prizes of the XIII Tapas and Pinchos Contest, which took place from June 16 to 25 and which has been the third appointment of the gastronomic Benidorm of this year 2023.
The decision of the awards has been announced today in El Torrejó. This act has been attended by the mayor Toni Pérez, members of the municipal corporation, as well as representatives of Abreca and participating restaurants.
In this edition, 16 establishments have participated and more than 1,700 votes have been received from the public, which means more than 100 votes per store, a fact that has been valued "very positively" by Abreca.
As for the prizes awarded by the jury, the first one went to the Molta Pasta restaurant for its tapa 'Cool grilled pizza from Kamado'. The second has been for the restaurant Malaspina with its tapa 'Mini entrepà Malaspina' and the third for the establishment Linaje de Castilla' with its tapa 'El Tesoro de Castilla'.
In the voting of the public that has tasted the tapas and pinchos, the preferences have been, in first place for La Taberna Andaluza for its tapa 'Benidorm del Sur'. The restaurant El esturión received the second prize for its 'Suspiro Costablanca' and the third was again for Linaje de Castilla.
Abreca's spokesperson, Alex Frattini, insisted that "in Benidorm, you eat very well" and highlighted that "we continue to bet on innovation and increasing quality more and more". He has had words of gratitude for Visit Benidorm, for the City Council, and especially "for the voters and clients who make us grow every day".
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, closed the act by highlighting that the hotel industry "demands a lot, but recognition also comes with the prizes or only with the participation". The mayor thanked and congratulated "all those who have taken part in the contest" and sent "congratulations to the winners because it will be an incentive to continue improving."
Pérez stressed that with the arrival of summer, "many people will come to the city and want to have the best experiences, something to which you continue to contribute so that Benidorm continues to be the place of happiness".
The next appointment of the Gastronomic Benidorm 2023 will be the II Cocktail Contest, which will take place from September 1 to 10.
