Doble Amor centre celebrates its day of coexistence in a supportive and festive atmosphere

More than 500 people, from Benidorm and surrounding municipalities, participated today in the annual social gathering held at the Doble Amor Occupational Centre. The event began early in the morning with the planting of the Fallas monument, which the organisation's students and instructors make each year.
Roció Nazario and Antonio Moreno, senior Fallas members of the 2025 Fallas program, on behalf of all Doble Amor users, greeted those present and presided over a charity event attended by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, accompanied by other members of the municipal council, the regional representative, José Ramón González de Zárate, and the president of Doble Amor, José Luis Calvo, among others.
As in previous editions, the González Llorens company from Altea was responsible for preparing a monumental, giant paella that required more than 30 kg of chicken, 35 kg of ribs, 10 kg of chickpeas, 45 kg of rice, 13 kg of tomatoes, and 12.5 liters of virgin olive oil, plus the "sauce" made with ñora peppers, garlic, and parsley, and peppers and green beans to taste.
After 4:30 p.m., the festive day finished with the "cream" of the monument, inspired this year by Velázquez's famous Meninas.
