Desbaratats Club wins the Adult Playback Contest

Desbaratats club won the first prize of the Adult Playback Contest organized by Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge, in which nine clubs took part and which was held last night at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España after the adverse weather conditions forced suspend it last Saturday. The mayor, Toni Pérez, was in charge of delivering the trophy to Desbaratats clubs accompanied by the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; members of the municipal corporation; the president of Associació de Penyes, Dani Luque, and members of its Board; the Queen of the Festes Majors Patronals, Fátima Carrobles; and the president of the Comissió de Festes, Francisco Marín.

With a scenography of the film Grease, Desbaratats managed to get the 1,200 euros of the first prize; while the girls of La Cercavila were in second place - endowed with 1,000 euros - thanks to their tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. The Penya El Parotet obtained the third position - and 800 euros - with its didactic way to the Mary Poppins to teach children how to be penistas.

Equisdé and her feminist claim with the character of Peach from the videogame Mario Bros won the fourth prize of 600 euros; and Tot Arreu, the fifth -from 400 euros- with a tribute to Lina Morgan. The Priscila de Perduts al Carrer was in sixth position -with a prize of 300 euros-; and the merger of the clubs Tot Previst, La Granota and Ompli el Got took the seventh position -200 euros- with a choreography based on the song 'I like it' by Cardi B., Bad Bunny and J.Balvin.

Ganduls won the eighth prize -from 100 euros- with his 'I am crazy about tennis', with which they rescued some of the legendary male stars of this sport; and the clubs La Rampoina and Mal de Cap won the ninth prize with an adaptation of one of the last hits of Jennifer Lopez.

Out of competition, the Senior Queen of the Festes Majors Patronals and her Ladies also took the stage to stage a choreography in which some of the best known themes of 2018 were conjugated.

In addition to the Playback Contest, the Gymkhana prizes held on Saturday morning, organized by the Penya Ni Pa Tu Ni Pa Mi, were also delivered last night. The first position was for La Granota, which next year will be responsible for organizing the event.
