This afternoon, procession at Buen Pastor parish with the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Hope and Peace
Palm Sunday, full of fervor and devotion, opens Holy Week in Benidorm

The Hermitage was the earliest, as the religious service began at a quarter past ten. It was repeated at the parishes of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, La Almudena, and San Francisco at eleven o'clock sharp. It was at Buen Pastor and El Carmen at eleven thirty, and at a quarter to twelve at El Mar Church.
The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, participated, along with the Councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, and other members of the city council, in the events held at Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, which were also attended by Senator Agustín Almodóbar and the regional representative, Manuel Pérez Fenoll.
The gathering at Sant Jaume i Santa Anna was the largest, as was the subsequent procession around the old town. Dozens of children took part, led by the "little donkey" with the baby Jesus on its back, to the rhythm of the Xirimiters de la Marina. All of this is coordinated by the Confraternity of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth.
Palm Sunday marks the official beginning of Holy Week 2025. It commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus of Nazareth into Jerusalem, which, according to the Gospels, he did so riding a donkey.
This evening, at eight o'clock, the procession of the Royal Confraternity of Our Lady of Hope and Peace and Our Father Jesus of Health and Humility will depart from the Church of the Good Shepherd. The procession, of which the National Police Corps is an honorary member, will travel along the streets of Puig Campana, Roldán, Av. de los Almendres, Limones, Maravall, Apolo XI, Jazmín, Plaza de España, and return to the church again via Puig Campana.
